Arnwine. I found the link to my old note, where I speak out against racial prejudice against Black voters: https://www.facebook.com/notes/gordon-wayne-watts/voter-suppression-against-blacks-prejudice-must-be-stopped/10153770993470248 - Doris said you'd post a link to the Attorney's website (It was not on https://www.facebook.com/dm.moore.bailey but it was on https://www.facebook.com/JuneteenthRodeo - took a bit for me to fin - sorry.) - I want to show you that while I may slightly differ on the photo-ID matter, I am very upset that citizens do not have their civil rights (inc. voting) restored after serving their time. (In my note, however, are a *lot* of links to news sources showing voter fraud, and, I add, absentee voter fraud, where the signature is disqualified, probably hurts Whites more, as they have more voters that use absentee than minorities.) Here is the link to my OpEd, where I speak out against my friend, Republican Congressman, Rep. Dennis A. Ross, for not standing up for college loan bankruptcy, even tho he, himself, can get it (and, I add, any financial oppression, like with college students, here, prob. affects people of colour more: http://www.TheLedger.com/article/20160804/COLUMNISTS03/160809884/1382/edit?p=all&tc=pgall * "A Polk Perspective: Fix our bankrupt policy on student debt," By Gordon Wayne Watts, Guest columnist, The Ledger, August 04, 2016 Lastly, sorry I got a bit off topic with regard to the college debt matter, but both issues (the voter suppression, excessive photo-ID requirements, refusal to restore voting rights, etc.) **and** the college bankruptcy and deceptive lending matter (in my guest column) are yet 2 more forms of oppression, slavery, prejudice, simply because we're weak (and these oppressions work against all poor people, even primarily White Republicans, like me -- my small amount of Native heritage doesn't count, since I am so light-skinned). Gordon Wayne Watts 10/9, 7:26pm Gordon Wayne Watts I made a copy edit error - I meant to say: "Doris said she'd post a link to the your website," but missed that when copying from what I asked Doris. - Sorry - my bad. While we may not 100% agree on all matters, we do agree on two, at least (voters being made to provide excessive documentation and oppressive college debt, which hurts all poor people - especially people of colour). -- On those issues where we agree, we can (and should) work together, lest the machine crush us. When we don't disagree, we can exchange idea, and - for that - I am thankful. You fought to make us safe and free, and I hope to use our blessings to the betterment of all - especially the weak & poor. -- Anyhow, I spend too much time online (and on social media), but the least I could do is thank you for your service - and for sharing your story - and your views. Gordon Wayne Watts, Lakeland, Fla. Today Gordon Wayne Watts 3:50pm Gordon Wayne Watts Mr. Easton, thank you, again, for speaking with me this past Sunday: Again, your accusations, here, really troubled me, because, as we all remember, Donald J. Trump was heard on a live mike with Billy Bush saying lewd things about women, "locker room talk," as they called it. However, I did some checking, and your claims that Trump said veterans were "weak" is false: I assume you make an honest mistake, but you were wrong: Trump indeed flattered "folks in this room" for being "strong," but he also expressed empathy at length for those military personnel who had experienced "horror stories," but while it's true Trump described present veterans as "strong" during the town hall event, he didn't also describe veterans dealing with mental health issues as weak or unfit. -- Even the liberal SNOPES, no fan of conservatives, admits as much. http://www.snopes.com/donald-trump-didnt-say-vets-with-ptsd-are-weak/ You have a good many valid complaints, and moreover, even tho I'm a right-winger, I'm no fan of the GOP, and have many gripes against them - including (as I mentioned in our call-in program Sunday) the fact that both parties (especially Republicans, but also Democrats, to a lesser degree) - when they held House, Senate, & Oval Office REFUSED to return bankruptcy to college loans, which left us defenseless against predatory lending (bankruptcy is the 'Economic 2nd Amendment'), and defenseless, we were victims of tuition price gouging and Predatory Lending. So, I hope you are not offended, but your claim here (viewed by many millions) is factually wrong. But, even assuming he said this, he would be correct - if you believe Jesus (or even if you did not). Jesus called ALL of us (you, me, and everyone) "weak" in Matthew 26:41: "The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak." And Paul goes on to call some of us weak: "I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak," Acts 20:35, see also Luke 12:48, where Jesus back Paul on this claim, saying some have more blessings, and Jesus backs Paul in his claims in Matt 26:41, quoted above.. Also, "We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves." (Romans 15:1) I don't know if you're a follower of Christ, but I am assuming you are & giving you the benefit of the doubt. If you're not a Christian, then I apologize in advance for using Jesus' quotes - but if you are a Christian, please (#1) believe Jesus, and know that we are ALL weak, making Trump's alleged statement not false - -and (#2) please know that it is wrong to bear false witness against someone, and say they said something that they didn't say. Here's an exact quote - what Trump *really* said after being asked about his plans to curb veterans' suicides at an event organized by the Retired American Warriors PAC in Northern Virginia: * "When you talk about the mental health problems, when people come back from war and combat and they see things that maybe a lot of folks in this room have seen many times over and you're strong and you can handle it but a lot of people can't handle it. They see horror stories, they see events you couldn't see in a movie, nobody would believe it ..." [Please note that he never called anyone 'weak,' but even had he done so, it would only be a true statement, if we're to believe Jesus. Lastly, for all his problems - and they are legion - he is trying to help vets. Hillary Clinton, on the other hand had her chance as Senator, and accomplished precious little.] http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/onpolitics/2016/10/03/trump-ptsd-comments/91509626/ I know you have many valid complaints, Ronn, but if you mix in a known falsehood with truth, it causes you to lose credibility. We all make mistakes - including me - so, I hope you this does not offend you - and, we have more in common than apart, so we must work together to fight bad politicians of both parties - if that is possible (I hope it is). Oh, one last thing: You are 100% RIGHT to be mad that people are bringing up Bill Clinton's past, when Hillary is running for president. (That's wrong - it's like people blaming Pres. Obama when both Democrats & Republican lawmakers write bad law that drives us deeper in debt - and both Dems & Reps had the congress at times - & both are at fault. The president should not have signed bad law, but it's not all his fault.) - But you're missing 2 points: First -- when Bill Clinton RAPED several women (and many have come forward, so I am to believe them), liberals were silent, but when Trump merely "fondled" women (if that's what he did), that was 'wrong' - OK, wrong, yes, but double-standard - what Trump did was far less evil. Secondly -- however -- Hillary is reported by **many** witnesses to have harassed & threatened into silence those rape victims, so she's equally guilty. Trump never did witness-tampering, here. You seem a bright man - with good intentions - so, please make sure your facts are correct, and please don't use a double-standard: Be like ME - when I'm not afraid to call out Boehner & Ross - 2 fellow-Republicans in my own party -- "A Polk Perspective: Fix our bankrupt policy on student debt," By Gordon Wayne Watts, Guest columnist, The Ledger, August 04, 2016: http://www.theledger.com/article/20160804/COLUMNISTS03/160809884/1382/edit?p=all&tc=pgall http://gordonwatts.com/TheLedger-print-version-WATTS-GuestColumn-Thr04Aug2016.html http://gordonwatts.com/TheLedger-print-version-WATTS-GuestColumn-Thr04Aug2016.html I'm not afraid to call out my own party (and the Democrats), so please - I know you can rise to the occasion and call out your party (the Democrats), as well as bad GOP members. Don't buckle: Doing what is right - even when peer pressure makes it hard - is a sign of integrity & honour. Thank you - once again - for speaking with me this Sunday - and thank you for serving. So, apparently, is Gordon's reply on the first postm the one that got 1.3 Million views. Ronn must have deleted them, but this was not justified: they were not rude. They were all the same, so the only justification Ronn might have had was that they were 'repetative', but that seems unlikely. This Ronn character does not like admitting he makes mistakes, and, while he has good points, Gordon is right: he discredits himself by refusing to admit mistakes, deleting posts that are not rude & have no curse words like him, and blocking people who disagree. https://www.facebook.com/ronn.easton/videos/1237537272955442/ his '1.3 M view' video https://www.facebook.com/ronn.easton/videos/1237537272955442/
