Samuel, thank you for speaking to me just now by phone. I'm glad that I forgot to include this information in my email to Maria Lopez, the other aid with whom I spoke Friday. -- Because -- had I included it, I might not have found out that her tenure or internship, as you call it, was up and ended.

The long story short is that Congressman Ross has noooo idea that I'm emailing your office, but while I disagree with him on a number of issues, I believe he has a good heart -- and good motives -- and my "main purpose" in including this "ADDENDUM" here about his motives/intentions was to help encourage Congresswoman Karen Bass, who also cares about people - that while her GOP counterparts are VERY human and make boatloads of mistakes, they do not hate her, and DO want to work with her in honest & sincerity.

In other words, I remember how Congresswoman Bass was kind enough to respond to me on her YouTube account, even knowing I wasn't one of her constituents -- and I wanted to remember her kind concern and let her know others (while human) felt the same way -- without further ado, here is the addendum -- below it, the original email -- and six (6) attachments (and various links) to help you all in your (shared / common) quest to fix what is broken, in healthcare, higher education, & other areas. Now, please review these, and, when you get a chance, email me back to let me know y'all got my email and the supporting documentation attachments, and, please pass these along to the full House - and your colleagues in the Senate -- publish far & wide on the taxpayer dollar, once you review & approve of my recommendations, here:

1. Rep. Dennis A. Ross (R-Fla.-15th) has pre-existing health condition (congenital health defect)

"Those with pre-existing conditions cannot be denied coverage. I have a pre-existing condition with my congenital heart defect, and I understand how important it is to maintain coverage for others. Low-income Americans are not losing coverage and will still receive coverage under Medicaid."

(Thus, while I disagree with Ross on a number of his votes and stances, has a motive to help those with preexisting conditions, since this includes him, too. However, I admit that Democrats may be right in claims that high deductibles may make this meaningless, even if more affordable.)

2. He never got mad at me for my infamous 'Heavy Hand' letter, and DID unblock us BEFORE it published, showing motive was honest, not reactionary.

Proof he unblocked us BEFORE my letter published:
Sources: ** I give you my word here.
**
http://GordonWatts.com/Twittergate.html

3. He still call on me in Town Halls and speaks to me when we meet at events - in SPITE of embarrassing letter (above) and embarrassing guest column (below), even knowing I will likely ask him tough, embarrassing questions:

Conclusion: While I think he (and most lawmakers of *both* parties) are tax-and-spend liberals who keep *_not_* fixing things (like healthcare, higher ed, etc.), he has a good heart, and, like Rep. Bass, good intentions and motives.

((#4)) P.S.: I still can not figure out why the "Affordable" Care Act is unaffordable, even in spite of its failure to cover me (and many Americans), but if the money's not going to doctors (to cover me or others who were "left out") and if the money's not staying with taxpayers (who complain of it being "unaffordable), then -- under the First Law of Thermodynamics (Conservation of Energy, a Physics principle), the money has to go **somewhere** -- and my best (and only) guess is that the insurance companies are enriching themselves at the taxpayers' expense.

This, if true, would not be unlike how -- in Higher Education -- quality of college is LOWER than in years past (when America had the best higher ed in the world, yet still unaffordable, because banks and colleges got much more than before, with taxpayers on the hook for loans that were backed (guaranteed) by the U.S. Taxpayer Dollar. So, I bet my guess is right in re Healthcare too!

Maria, thank you for speaking to me, just now, when I called Congresswoman Karen Bass' office.

As PDF email attachments, I'm attaching some helpful research which will (I hope) both encourage you all -- as well as fix problems which have, for a long time, existed -- and which both parties have refused to fix when each party has, at times, held House, Senate, & Oval Office. (Pres. Obama, a Democrat, had a Democratic House & Senate for a period - yet failed to fix both costs of college, QUALITY of college, costs of healthcare -- it was UNAFFORDABLE -- and quality of healthcare. Likewise, both Pres. Trump and Pres. George W. Bush, fellow-Republicans, have had, at times, a Republican House and Senate, and both FAILED to fix healthcare AND Higher Education. The jury is still out on Trump, as he hasn't finished his term.)

Just so you all know I'm honest, I never was an actual constituent, nor did I ever set foot in LA County or anywhere in her district (and she never even said I was an honourary constituent, but I believe she thought that -- after I relayed to her that my congressman, Dennis Ross, was kind, but not receptive to ideas from me). Karen will remember me, however, in good light, since I tried my best to defend and advance her views (with which I agree) about fixing the college debt problem, by - for example - allowing college students to file bankruptcy.

So, while I'm not an "actual" constituent, ((#1)) I was there "in spirit," ((#2)) I'm hopefully a friend with helpful research. If nothing else, ((#3)) I'm friendly news media (see below), and it's ok for us to communicate on that protocol, since it is (usually) not appropriate protocol for a Member of Congress to try to represent a person who's not a constituent. So, here are the attachments -- with commentary:

* "TheLedger-print-version-WATTS-GuestColumn-Thr04Aug2016.pdf" (a 2.0 MB pdf document, which is a reminder that I CHEWED PUT my good friend -- and fellow-Republican, politely, but firmly, as I defended Rep. Karen Bass' point of view on the college loan matter -- as I understand it -- tho not mentioning her, or any one else, by name.) I include this as a reminder that I've got your back -- I'm not just a taker, but I'm pulling my weight too. Cache: http://www.gordonWAYNEwatts.com/TheLedger-print-version-WATTS-GuestColumn-Thr04Aug2016.pdf Cache: http://www.GordonWatts.com/TheLedger-print-version-WATTS-GuestColumn-Thr04A Source: "A Polk Perspective: Fix our bankrupt policy on student debt," By Gordon Wayne Watts, Guest columnist, The Ledger, August 04, 2016: http://www.TheLedger.com/article/20160804/COLUMNISTS03/160809884/1382/edit?p=all&tc=pgall

When you looked at my namesake blog (GordonWatts.com or GordonWayneWatts.com), you could not find this article, but it's there in the (Thr. 04 Aug. 2016, IN THE NEWS) news item -- it's a few lines from the top.

* "CongressmanRoss-Tweet-with-comments_PDF.pdf" (a small, 636 KB pdf file, which is a screenshot of Congressman Ross giving me a shout-out -- a reTweet -- on the Twitter machine!! -- even in spite of the fact I chewed him out royally - politely but firmly - for not copying Polk County, Florida's indigent healthcare which is ((a)) AFFORDABLE, as it's only costing taxpayers 1/2-cent sales tax ((b)) covers LOTS of people -- follow the links or research it: Polk County/Lakeland is between Hillsborough County/Tampa and Orange County/Orlando, Florida. --and-- ((c)) Covers anyone who makes less than $990.oo/month income. REMINDER: POLK Care got me cataract surgery, GETS ME regular checkups, and even offered to do a heart exam, which I declined, in favour of natural methods. ObamaCare, aka the "Affordable" Care Act, is neither affordable, not helpful: I NEVER covered me as I did not qualify. I asked Rep. Dennis Ross (R-Fla-15th), to use Polk Care as a model, and I ask Rep. Karen Bass the same: If it's not broke, don't fix it. Doin't reinvent the wheel! -- COPY WHAT WORKS, hello!? * "2017-HealthCarePOINTS.pdf" (a small, 339 KB pdf file) A deeper look at my arguments in favour of why Socialiased (Universal) Healthcare is good, but using POLK CARE (and not ObamaCare) as the means. BONUS: http://www.GordonWayneWatts.com/FannyDeregulation/Tetzlaff-case/DOCKET-15-485_Tetzlaff-v-ECMC.html and http://www.GordonWatts.com/FannyDeregulation/Tetzlaff-case/DOCKET-15-485_Tetzlaff-v-ECMC.html show my efforts to fix the "oppressive student debt" and "soaring college tuition" problems. But see "Tetzlaff-Intervention-GordonWayneWatts.pdf," the small, 2.3 MB pdf file where I butted in and tried to educate the Supremes on the plight of the common person.

These 4 documents (2 each on college and healthcare) should be enough tools to keep us all busy for now. I hope this helps -- really, I have skin in the game too! (I love my rich folk - as they provide us jobs -- but the insurance companies, colleges, and banks GET ENOUGH and need to stop robbing us in higher education, healthcare, etc, so please help us fix these problems.) God bless you all, Maria, and please tell Karen thank you for letting me at least try yo participate in the town hall. While I'm not an actual constituent, we can work together: Where there's a will, there's a way. :)

"First, they [Nazis] came for the Jews. I was silent. I was not a Jew. Then they came for the Communists. I was silent. I was not a Communist. Then they came for the trade unionists. I was silent. I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for me. There was no one left to speak for me."(Martin Niemöller, given credit for a quotation in The Harper Religious and Inspirational Quotation Companion, ed. Margaret Pepper(New York: Harper &Row, 1989), 429 -as cited on page 44, note 17,of Religious Cleansing in the American Republic, by Keith A. Fornier,Copyright 1993, by Liberty, Life, and Family Publications.

Some versions have Mr. Niemöller saying: "Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up, because I was a Protestant"; other versions have him saying that they came for Socialists, Industrialists, schools, the press,and/or the Church; however, it's certain he DID say SOMETHING like this. Actually, they may not have come for the Jews first, as it's more likely they came for the prisoners, mentally handicapped, &other so-called "inferiors" first -as historians tell us-so they could get "practiced up"; however, they did come for them -due to the silence of their neighbors -and due in part to their own silence. So: "
Speak up now or forever hold your peace!"-GWW//
